STATE OF FLOW
Streamer fishing on the White River in mid-March can be a humbling experience. Weather and water conditions change by the hour and the melancholic landscape offers no comfort from exposure. However, these conditions provide a challenge that any fly fisherman worth their salt can appreciate. A thousand casts may not bring you any closer to your goal, but every moment spent grinding your way through the affliction of mind and body brings you that much closer to... the State of Flow.
NEW WEST
Over a decade after picking up our first flyrods, my brother and I finally found ourselves in the epicenter of flyfishing culture, the Madison River. Joined by our buddy Taylor of Flippin Flyguides and his brother Mickey, a guide in the West Yellowstone area, our eyes were opened to the majesty of the natural rivers of the west.
AR-TICULATION
Cotter, Arkansas is a town known for trout fishing. Now, thanks to all of our friends from around the country, this town is making a new name for itself and the river it resides on. This river, with its well-managed resources and its dynamic conditions, has fostered record brown trout in size and population making it a hotspot for testing theories and the limits of flyfishing with streamers. The S.O.C. crew would like to thank the people of cotter and the thousands of avid anglers who play a key role in developing and preserving this town and its heritage.
HOPPERSZN
As we enter the dog days of summer there's nothing more fun than slapping the banks with hoppers on the hunt for big browns. Not ever one will be the fish of a lifetime but there's no denying the beauty of these fish.
SCENES FROM THE NIGHT
An Instagram short from a night float back in late August. My main mission was to test out the low-light capabilities of my new Sony cam, and I was thoroughly impressed. The entire short was shot on the 24-70 at f/2.8, very interested in how some fast primes would perform. Drop a like above and please subscribe to my channel. Also, check out my Instagram, most content can be seen there first.

CYCLES
In nature, everything has a cycle. Be it the changing of the leaves, waters journey from liquid to vapor, or the rotation of the earth, nature is in an ever-changing state of growth and decay. Therein lies a simple yet powerful story of the outdoors and our place in it. These cycles, timeless and unrelenting, are more apparent to me than ever from the perspective of one of my favorite lookouts on the Lower Buffalo National River of Northern Arkansas.
WADE
Wet-wading is one of the most rewarding methods of flyfishing. Feeling the constant pulsing flow of the river on top of navigating the topography of the river bottom creates a connection to the river that you simply can't achieve from a boat or the bank. This short created for Instagram defines that connection.
WADE II
All winter my idea has been to make a video similar in style to the first WADE but in a contrasting season. Well, I guess the universe was listening. During the only weekend in March that we made it down to the river, northern Arkansas saw one of the only snows of the year and some of the largest flakes I've ever seen. It was one of the most incredible experiences I've had on the white and I'm thrilled to have been able to capture it.
GOLDEN HOUR
That magical time of day, when the sun is casting a golden light over the river and fish are surfacing all around for that last meal before night falls. We call it the golden hour.
