My Story
ORIGINS
As a young man with an interest in visual technology and a passion for the outdoors, I sought out a way to combine them. In 2012, I bought my first camera, downloaded a free video editing program, and took to the outdoors to capture my adventures in the most creative way possible. From hunting to fishing to snowboarding, I found my creative outlet in the form of both videography and photography. Encouraged by small successes, I continued to develop my technique. My first freelance opportunity in 2016 opened my eyes to a viable career as a content creator. In 2017, I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, applied myself to the corporate marketing sector, and landed an even greater opportunity. .
MY EXPERIENCE
In 2017, I made the leap from hobbyist to professional. I became the Video Production Specialist for GME Supply Co., an industrial safety supply distributor located in my hometown of Columbia, MO. For the next 3 1/2 years, I was tasked with creating a variety of projects for the telecom industry such as promotional campaigns, technical training videos, product reviews, and event coverage. In addition to polishing my technique, I also gained valuable experience in working directly with clients who expected the highest quality content. This required comprehensive project planning, clear communication, and timely execution. During my experience at GME Supply, I built the confidence to take on clients of my own with various digital media needs . . .
CONFLUENCE VISUALS
In early 2021, I resigned from my position in the telecom industry to pursue projects that aligned with my hobbies and passions. I moved to the Springfield, MO area with my fiance and established Confluence Visuals. My dream for Confluence Visuals is to create eye-catching digital content for businesses and brands in the Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas regions.
